Overview

Vista America is recruiting Captains for a permanent full-time, home-based position in the United States, reporting to the Flight Operations Manager. This individual vacancy explicitly offers support to obtain an E-3 visa for pilots who meet that visa’s requirements; it does not promise sponsorship to every applicant. The current advertisement specifies no assigned aircraft fleet. A PIC jet type rating is required, with Bombardier preferred. The advertised stable schedule is 15 days on and 13 days off, planned 12 months in advance. First-year guaranteed base pay is USD 195,000; advertised total compensation potential is USD 247,825 and is not a guaranteed total.

Responsibilities

Operate as Captain, uphold safety and passenger-service standards, solve operational problems, act as a brand ambassador, support colleagues and report to the Flight Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • FAA ATP and a PIC jet type rating (Bombardier preferred). Minimum flight time: 3,000 hours fixed-wing; 1,500 PIC; 1,500 multi-engine; 1,000 turbine; 300 logged IFR. Current FAA First Class medical. Authorization to work in the United States; eligible E-3 applicants receive visa support. Authorization to travel to and from all destinations served. No accidents, incidents or FAA enforcement actions in the last five years. Meet the stated ICAO Annex 1, section 2.1.10 requirement. Advertised flight recency: 150 hours in the previous 365 days / 30 hours in the previous 90 days.

Benefits

Home basing and a stable 15/13 roster planned 12 months ahead; training scheduled six months ahead; extra-day pay, monthly flight-hour bonus and paid training days; per diem of USD 75 domestically and USD 120 internationally; a vacation choice or advertised USD 10,000 in-lieu bonus; positive-space seats and travel on the first and last roster days; health, dental and vision cover; 401(k) employer match; company phone, credit card and uniform; fleet and career progression opportunities.

Compensation: USD 195,000 guaranteed first-year base; USD 247,825 total compensation potential
