Role Summary

Being an airline pilot is a very demanding profession that requires a genuine passion for flying, enthusiasm, and commitment, as well as intellectual, psychological, and physical aptitude. It also requires a good command of English.

The First Officer (or co-pilot) is second in command of the crew. The crew always consists of a Captain and a First Officer.

Primarily responsible for passenger safety, the airline pilot is in charge of piloting, navigation, managing radio communications, and the technical monitoring of the aircraft.

You will begin your piloting career with HOP! as a First Officer. After a few years of experience, you will have the opportunity to be selected to become a Captain.

Responsibilities

- Conduct pre-flight preparation, performance calculations, and operational briefing according to SOPs.
- Support safe and efficient flight operations in all phases of flight with clear CRM communication.
- Maintain strong procedural discipline, checklist accuracy, and threat-and-error management.
- Contribute to post-flight debriefing, reporting, and continuous operational improvement.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid ATPL or CPL/IRME.
  • Hold a valid ATPL theory certificate issued by an ATO certified by one of the European Union member states.
  • Possess a valid Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Be a French national, a national of one of the other European Union member states, or a Swiss national.
  • Be fluent in French. Candidates who are not French nationals must hold FCL055 Level 6 in French.
  • Have no failed training courses with HOP!, Air France, or Transavia.
  • Prior experience on CS-25/CS-23 aircraft is an asset.
  • Hold a Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) certificate.
  • Demonstrate a level of 5 or higher on the language proficiency assessment scale: valid FCL055/055D.
  • Have a TOEIC Test score of 850 or higher, taken within the last two years at the time of selection.
  • Since December 20, 2019, pilots without a first CS 25 Type Rating must possess a certificate of completion of EASA Advanced UPRT training.
  • Submit a certified copy of the last two pages of your logbook and a certificate from your employer validating these flight hours.
